Chapel of the Immaculate Conception

This chapel is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. It was rebuilt in 1871 to com-memorate the proclamation of the dogma by the First Vatican Council. The sculpture is by Francesc Torres. The paintings above the doors represent St. Joachim and St. Anne.

The paintings on the side walls refer to the First Vatican Council and the proclamation of the dogma.
Only the columns and the upper section of the 17th-century altarpiece remain intact. The painted vault depicts the coronation of the Virgin Mary by God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, all surrounded by a court of angels.
